Should I buy the Lifecore Corebell 5-55-Pound Adjustable Dumbbell System with Stand?

Very satisfied with purchase

I am so glad that I got these instead of the Bowflex ones. These are much easier to adjust, come with a stand, and the price is great (esp. with free shipping!).

Great choice

I am a female bodybuilder and am slowly but surely establishing my home gym. This was a big buy for me and one of the last pieces of equipment I need for my gym to be complete. I was nervous about buying after seeing so few reviews but am very pleased with it thus far. I am going to break this down into laymen's terms as far as pros and cons:

Pros:
- Comes with a stand, much easier to retrieve and adjust weights compared to them being on the floor.
- Easily adjusts to different weight settings
- Hand grip is very comfortable, especially for a smaller female hand
- Relatively quiet even though the plates are metal
- Plastic boot/bumper on stand delivered broken, called customer service and they are sending another today no hassles

Cons:
- I am concerned about the plastic adjustment lever and its ability to hold up over time
- They are big and, when doing curls, are a bit awkward (I got used to it after a couple of sets though)
- Comes in one big box, and I know the UPS delivery person was probably annoyed (could explain the damage to the box). It is a struggle to get into the house but one can break it down outside (prevents styrofoam pieces from getting all over too).

All in all a good buy. We'll see how it holds up to a female bb'ers abuse.

So far im satisfied

I haven't had these that long but i did use them quite a bit so i will give a review about them.

They are a very solid piece of equipment and comfortable to hold. Changing from one weight to the next is very simple and easy, Just make sure you grip them and give a little force to move them. I use them for P90X and it helps that they are a quick change dumbbell because it's a pain to change standard ones all the time. I was a little hesitant to get these because i have never tried them but i was pleasantly surprised when i got them. I had the Bowflex selectech dumbbells before but sold them because i didn't use them much which was stupid so i am glad i found a solid replacement for them. I was hoping they were smaller then the selectech's but they ended up being the same size. If you want ones that are smaller then go for the Powerblock dumbbells because these ones are normal hex dumbbell or smaller size. All in all they are great set and i hope i am able to say this a few months or years down the road.

If you go for these over other similar products you will save about [...] bucks and get a stand with it.

Well Worth The $

Lifecore Corebell 5-55-Pound Adjustable Dumbbell System with Stand

I have been shopping around and comparing adjustable dumbbell sets for awhile. Each definitely had their advantages, but for the $ the Lifecores were the best. They adjust very easily and can go in 2.5# increments if you don't mind the weight being slightly out of balance. Having the stand included in the set is a big plus. The stand is very solid and moves easily on the casters provided. This set also has a 5 year warranty on the bar and weights.

The only con I can think of is the length. As mentioned on another review, they are pretty long which takes some getting used to for some curls and standing rows. No regrets here!

Great product!!

I ordered this online wondering if it was worth the price. I figured $50 a month on a gym membership. This would easily pay for itself if it lasted more than a year. When it arrived I was very happy to see that the weights have a lifetime warranty and the handle is a 5 year warranty. The weights are very sturdy, switch quickly, and the grips are very comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone who can and is willing to pay for them.
